Rowhouse Renovation - West Village, Manhattan, NYC

This multi-phased exterior and interior renovation/restoration project involved the conversion of the whole four-story-plus-cellar rowhouse structure, originally built in 1842, back into a single-family residence.  It had been stripped of all historical detail and converted into two apartments in the 1940’s.
This project re-imagined the interiors, mostly as they might have originally been appointed in the local urban Greek Revival style when the house was built.  It also incorporated amenities like a garden-level eat-in kitchen, a wet bar and service area with a  dumbwaiter at the parlor floor, two powder rooms and three bathrooms with extensive custom tile work, and access to a roof top deck.


Private Studio Barn - Western Connecticut

A new 22 ft. wide x 42 ft. long structure with 940 s.f. of main level home office/living/storage/bathroom space and a 290 s.f. open loft. I was primarily involved in designing the building shell and the layout of the interior, and had the pleasure of consulting with a very creative contractor/designer, Peter Mariano of Aventine Gardens (http://www.aventinegardens.com), who developed and implemented the sitework, landscaping, material selections, and interior aesthetic and detailing of this beautifully-appointed project completed in the spring of 2016.

Private Residence - Weston CT

Extensive additions and alterations to a 1960's era house to create a dramatic contemporary home for an active family of five. The owners' interest in mid-century modern architecture and design and a beautiful wooded site with backyard views of a picturesque pond led us to a design that features large windows and a great outdoor deck space, lots of natural light, and understated interior details.

Additions/Alterations to Private Residence - Weston CT

Additions, alterations, and renovations to a previously-converted pre-Revolutionary War carriage house included master bedroom and garage wing additions, solar power roof panels and geothermal heating and cooling. 
This was the first time that solar panels were approved for use in a Historic District in Weston CT.
